Full Description: A most unusual property for lovers of stone, history and hardwork.
A double gate leads into a courtyard of 85m² there is a building of 33m² immediately to the left.

This building contains:
A WC
A shower room
An open laundry area
A large store room

You walk forward and up some steps onto the generous terrace that lies across the front of the main building.

From the terrace you enter the first floor. The main building is 122m² per floor on the top floors and about 100m² on the ground floor.
The main room (92m²) on the first floor boasts a high, classified, medieval 'plafond a la francaise' (wooden ceiling) with some wonderfull painted details.

This ceiling is classed as a monument historique. It was carried out in 1442 to celebrate a visit of Marie d'Anjou and to celebrate Charles VII's victory over the English/Burgundian alliance.

At the moment there are some partition walls at one end of this room, but these could easily be cleared away to give value to the ceiling. Windows give out both onto the terrace and on the other side to green views of the Herault countryside. There is a room (30m²) off the main room.

Above this floor is a large and spacious 'loft' with full head height. This is divided in to 2 rooms, the same sizes as on the floor below, with two wonderful stone arches supporting the roof carpentry. The roof has been recently redone with the participation of the town and the region ( because of the historical importance of the building.)

Difficult to describe and the photos do not do the property justice, however, this is very well priced and is a unique and very special home.

The village, although small, has a bakers, two general stores, a postoffice, a well reputed cafe/restaurant, a chemists, a hair dresser, a resident doctor and a primary school of very good reputation.
30minutes from the Mediterranean,
